Our new Pa speakers and stands arrived this week, so W!LD HQ is now a mess of  boxes and bubble wrap. Perry’s currently away, but when he gets back he’ll me find enclosed in a fort of cardboard, just like Joey in Friends. I wonder if I could find a chick and a duck.

The speakers are for our forthcoming W!LD tour, as the last time we had to organise our own gig, getting a pa together was a bit of a nightnare. We ended up having to borrow speakers from the Kinsale College Amphitheatre, a lengthy process that involved taking apart the front of the stage, and trying to clear copious amounts of bark mulch from the electrics.

Said tour is going to include some lengthy acoustic gigs, so from inside my fort I’ve been having fun picking out songs from the 100, to add to our live set.

I’m currently attempting to write a bass line for Perry’s song John Martyn.

    

Meanwhile our press releases have so far achieved little result; (unless somebody has decided to feature Song Century on their site, and just not tell us about it,) however we’ve barely scratched the surface of all the music press out there, so we’ll keep on trying.
